Chief Operating Officer

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in relevant field of administration such as health, Administration, public administration, or business administration.  Knowledge, skills, and abilities in organizational administration and development, and resource development at a level commensurate with assuring the effective and efficient operations and development of the organization.  A bachelor’s degree may be considered provided successful past experience is demonstrated in a setting equivalent or exceeding Cornerstone Care’s size and complexity.

 

Supervisor:  Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities include:

  1. Provides leadership to operational staff and appropriately within the management team to enable the corporation to prosper and to achieve its desired ends.

  2. Ensures all necessary operational systems and methods are developed and implemented so that expected results and outcomes are achieved in an efficient manner.

  3. Directs and supervises facility managers, coordinators, support staff and all operational staff.

  4. Sets goals to accomplish the organization’s mission and plans.

  5. Ensures a safe work environment and employs effective and appropriate risk management programs.

  6. Promotes positive working relationships among staff and facilities teamwork to accomplish goals.

  7. Assists CEO in staffing and developing the Board of Directors.

  8. Develops and implements strategic plans in concert with the members of senior management team and Board.

  9. Protects and maintains the facilities and property of the corporation.

  10. Develops and maintains effective personnel management and supervisory methods among staff.

  11. Regularly assesses community and organizational needs and develops plans and resources to meet needs.

  12. Maintains knowledge about and ensures compliance with all regulations and standards governing the operations of the corporation.

  13. Evaluates overall organizational performance.

  14. Evaluates staff performance.

  15. Establishes and maintains productive relationships with customers, the community and other organizations and institutions.

  16.  Develops and implements marketing and other promotional plans. 

  17.  Develops and submits all required reports on timely basis.
